Tall dude, tall building.
We look down from way up high in this episode. Watch out Grant Streeters - Ryan is watching you!
Phew! It's finally here, episode #5 featuring Ryan.
Ryan talks about how he feels about this hood, about music and how he's still chasing that high from grade eight.
This episode includes a clip from his favourite Silkworm song, Couldn't You Wait, and a song from his (really great) band Ladyhawk that I like a lot: War. It's a short song so I played the whole thing.
The episode's on the long side, so it's in two parts.
Enjoy!

How to be a bad neighbour...
1. Don't deliver on promises. That borrowed ladder from last year? Still in the shed. That podcast from February? Um...
2. Pretend your neighbour doesn't remember said ladder. But now can't use ladder since don't want them to know you have it. Also includes pretending no one is waiting for new podcast, creating self-fulfilling prophecy since no new podcast to listen to.
That's me. The delinquent of Grant Street. I am sorry about the hiatus, for those who have come by to find NOTHING! NOTHING! How dare I!
But new stuff is a comin', real soon. Spring is here on Grant Street and things are happening!
Stay tuned.

Grant Street Parade #4: Tom
It's February and the Olympics are coming: Ahhh!
While the city goes crazy it's time to get insular, stay home, and hang out with the neighbours.
When they're not around (like Tom, because he's going away for the Olympics), we can listen to them on the Grant Street Parade. What could be nicer?
Sit down (or stay sitting down), relax, and find out why Tom's got a thing for greenhouses.

A Grant Street Parade REMIX: feat. Rafael
This episode is a special one.
It's a remix of a previous episode, episode two with Rafael.
It's all because Raf recommended WNYC Radio Lab to me a while ago. I've become such a fan that I wanted to imitate them. Hence, a remix in the style of Radio Lab. It's very different from the original episode.
Even more exciting is that this podcast features VIDEO! Keep your eyes on the screen (video at minutes 2:45 and 5:43). Both the video and the music (except the Mr. Rogers theme) are by Rafael and another neighbour, Lyndsay, from their duo: Guimauves.
For more brilliant insanity check out www.lesguimauves.com
Thanks to Rafael, Guimauves and Radio Lab for this podcast.
Enjoy!

Grant Street Parade #3: Stephen
Happy New Year!
This is the Grant Street Parade's New Year's Edition, featuring Stephen. I love what he has to say about Barbies.
2010 adds up to the number three, very auspicious for some and lucky for the Grant Street Parade since this is episode #3! Good luck abounds!
Otherwise, is there a New Year's theme? Nope! Christmas? No sir! It's just plain old Grant Street style: timeless but most definitely not placeless.
Hope you like it.

Grant Street Parade #2: Rafael
Welcome to the second installment of the Grant Street Parade!
This episode takes me to my next door neighbour's apartment, one I'd never seen before.
This one's a bit longer because Rafael had all these great things to say about why he is an artist.
Enjoy!

Grant Street Parade #1: Zac
It's the first episode of the Grant Street Parade!
This week, I spoke with Grant Street resident Zac. He lives even closer than a next-door neighbour. You'll see what I mean.
